Zooey Deschanel, of “Yes Man” fame, and musician Ben Gibbard, are getting married. Gibbard and Deschanel have made the commitment to be engaged. Deschanel and Gibbard were engaged over the weekend of Dec. 20. Deschanel and Gibbard have been dating for about a year. Deschanel’s friend said she was excited over her new status. An earlier report from “In Touch Weekly” that said “Yes Man actress Zooey Deschanel, 28, and musician Hunter Burgan are engaged!” was wrong because “Hunter Burgan” has been substituted for Ben Gibbard. Those who caught the “Hunter Burgan” post have not been updated that Zooey Deschanel’s fiance is actually Ben Gibbard. The error story was done by Buzznet.
