Zhao Liang: Zhao Liang new tallest man in the world (photos)
By Therese Lisieux on April 17th, 2009Zhao Liang may become the new tallest living man in the world. Zhao Liang, 27, is 3 inches taller than Bao Xishun, who is 7 feet 9 inches tall. Zhao Liang is 8 feet 0.7 inches tall. Zhao Liang’s claim has to be verified by the Guinness Book of World Records before he can be called the tallest man in the world.
Zhao Liang was discovered when he went to hospital for an operation on his muscle tendon in his left foot. Zhao Liang had injured it. Zhao Liang had been training as a basketball player when he suffered his injury more than 10 years ago. Liang only had a job in 2006, when an art troupe in Jilin hired him to perform magic and play the flute and saxophone.
Zhao Liang has a big appetite. He eats a dinner with 3 courses. One typical course would have 8 hamburger sized buns.
The tallest man in the world was Robert Pershing Wadlow, of Illinois. Wadlow was 8 feet 11.1 inches tall.
