The rock band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, was the musical guest of Saturday Night Live’s host, Zac Efron. Efron was on SNL April 11 to plug his new movie, “17 Again”.

Karen Lee Orzolek, aka Karen O, is the singer for the band, “Yeah Yeah Yeahs”. The Yeahs is an art rock band based in New York. Karen O was born on Nov 22, 1978, so she is 31 now.

Karen’s “Lee” comes from her Korean mother and her Orzolek comes from her Polish father. Karen O was born in South Korean but emigrated to the US, living in New Jersey and New York before living in Los Angeles.

Karen O was named by Blender magazine as one of rock’s hottest women in 2006. Karen O’s style has been done by Christian Joy, her favorite fashion designer.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs described themselves on MySpace as an Indie and alternative band. Besides Karen O, the two guy members are Nick Zinner and Brian Chase.
