Yoo Ye-eun was born blind. Adopted in 2002, Yoo Ye-eun did not have formal piano lessons but can play any song after listening just once. Yoo Ye-eun competed on Star King, a Korean Talent show. Yoo Ye-eun’s score was 95 out of 100. Yoo Ye-eun won USD 1000 cash prize.

Yoo Ye-eun’s adoptive mother said that she started playing at age 3. Yoo Ye-eun practices daily. Yoo Ye-eun has been nicknamed as the “five year old genius Mozart.” Yoo Ye-eun practices music from composers like Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin daily. Yoo Ye-eun's video attracted 27 million viewers to Pandora TV, a Korean website.
