Xavier Pinckney: Pinckney on Jean Smith & James Smith murders (photos)
By Clarencia Cynrae on December 22nd, 2008Xavier Pinckney, 17, was arrested and charged for murders, burglary and use of a firearm. On Fri., Dec. 19, Jean C. Smith, 39, and her son James Smith, 19, were killed inside their home on Langford Court, in Dale City.
Xavier Pinckney was accused of burglary and when he was surprised by James Smith and then Jean C. Smith, 39, he killed them. Pinckney knew the Smith family. Sources said he had visited the Smith family when he was younger.
Police think Pinckney picked the Smith house because he thought no one was home as there was no car parked out in front. Pinckney’s girlfriend, Jacqueline Munoz, 22, was charged with providing him with a false alibi.
Jean Smith is survived by her younger son, Connor Smith, 16.
