David Smith, of New Jersey, has built the world’s smallest working train. Smith said he was building a tran village and the world’s smallest train was a model train set to be displayed within his model train village. A train within a train set may be the first of its kind.

David Smith said he fashioned his small train out of molding plastic. Smith said the small motor was available at the hardware stores and K-mart. The train set is even smaller than a finger nail.
