Cristianne Ray is the world’s smallest living mother. Ray stands at 2 feet 7 inches tall. Ray is 20 in 2008. In 2007, Cristianne Ray gave birth to a healthy baby, Kyrsten Bowden. Ray’s doctors had advised her against having her pregnancy. They were afraid her baby would kill her while developing inside her tiny body. Ray proved them wrong.
Baby Kyrsten weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces at birth. Kyrsten Bowden was 14 inches long and almost half the height of her mother, Ray, who is 31 inches tall.
Kyrsten Bowden’s dad is Jeremy Bowden. Bowden is 6 feet 4 inches tall.

I see you as an ordinary person who was unfortunatly born with a bone condition, this was not your choice. You like every other women have the right to want to be *normal* have the same feelings and emotions as every one else only you are restricted by your size to be able to do as a *normal* person would. I commend you for trying to fufill all your hopes and dreams and for also trying to make your life easier to be a better parent to your adorable daughter.
It saddens me to see the nasty comments extended to you by small minded people but unfortunately that is part of life also, like you beeing small that is what makes them not *normal* also.
I dont know you but I am so proud of you for takeing into your own hands to try and make life easier for yourself to be a good mother and give your daughter every thing she needs, wich is far more then what I can say for ALOT of people in this world, alot of those *normal* people who adopt there children out or abandon them just because they dont want the responsibility, makes you far more *normal* than those.
I am blessed to have been able to have 5 children as a regular person, it is not easy I will admit that, but I love my children dearly and my heart goes out to you for everything you are doing.
Every one of us have some kind of support network, people we rely on for a little help with day to day as parents, be it daycare, nanys, babysitters excetra. You have your family with you to help, and how you do things is JUST YOUR FAMILYS WAY.
Again Im am extreamly proud of you guys and do hope to hear more of how your family is doing.

I just want to say to all the people that put them down for wanting a family is bullshit. Look at your own lives before you judge others, the world is not perfect and people have flaws but for you to call them freaks and whatnot is bullshit. Do you really think that Christianne’s parents thought she would be a dwarf and do you really think that their lives weren’t affected. Do you think Christianne wanted her child to be a dwarf. Probably not, but she gave birth to a beautiful little girl, she will be able to teach her daughter things you “normal” ignorant assholes can never teach your kids. Yes she is limited on what she can do for her child but there are many handicapped parents and they do a damn good job if not better then most people in this world. They fight battles daily because closed minded ignorant people can’t fucking open their eyes and see that everyone is different and everyone is special in their own way! They wanted a family, they knew the risks, and they chose together to try for a child knowing that there was a possibility she could die, the baby could die, or the baby could be a dwarf. They took those risks and they beat most of the odds so why hate on others. Christianne should be ashamed of herself. She was irresponsible about sex and got pregnant. I’m glad that she and her daughter survived the ordeal. But her ignorance about dwarfism is pathetic – of course her daughter would have a higher risk than the child of a normal sized person! Christianne should have been responsible and done things like finish school and find a job to support herself (I don’t think her boyfriend is going to stick around after his dwarf fetish wears off) and her daughter. Only now is she considering getting a driver’s license? And she’s too dumb to pass the test. I don’t care that she is a dwarf but her immaturity bothers me. And she also looks like a ham!
your documentary was BREATHTAKING and very INSPIRING. OMGeeee i was just amazed because it must be really hard being a mother (being a little person and all), but you put all the effort you could into it and i think its so motherly and cute! it almost made me cry seeing all those mean comments from those aholes who are too blind to see wat a blessing it is to be able to conceive a beautiful and healthy baby girl/boy under your condition.. and just thinking about everyone else who WANT but CANT have any kids of their own, just makes me sad! i love kids and i hope that one day (God willing), i could have kids of my own. that would be the most beautiful gift to have. dont mind those mindless f***’s because they dont know who they’re dealing with, therefor, they’ll never be happy with their own lives, but i pray that someday they will learn from their mistakes and take back whatever mean things they said. may God take care of you and bless you all!

I watched your story a few weeks ago but have wanted to send a response. Your story really touched my heart. I commend you both for trying so hard to overcome all the obstacles that have got in your way. Your support system is key to your success. Cristianne your strength is amazing and the support and love that your parents and Jeremy offer is invaluable.
I’m not young (39) and I’m not small but I had to evercome so many obstacles to have a child. I had to go through fertility (I have an Ovarian Defect) and once getting pregnant not one thing was enjoyable about the pregnancy or the birth. I got pregnancy induced hypertension, preclampsia, 2 placentas, I was in and out of the hospital and in the end overdue they tried to induce me for 2 days. With nothing happening they conducted a c-section. The final result a beautiful, perfect baby boy that I live and breath for.

I just watched your story on A&E last night. I have to say Jeremy you are a GREAT man. I know men twice your age who are no where near the loving responsible father & partner that you are. Your little girl is beautiful. Watching you care for her made me cry,you just love your family & don’t let anyone change who you are. If you care and love your child the way I saw you do. She will grow up to be a beautiful, strong,intelligent women. Be proud of yourself & your family.
