Wilson Santiago Rojas, Pan American Games wrestler medalist, killed in robbery

Wilson Santiago Rojas, 31, was killed in a robbery in an electronics store in Santo Domingo, of the Dominican Republic. Wilson Santiago Rojas, 31, was a former Pan American Games wrestling medalist. He tried to help his cousin, who was being robbed inside the electronics store, on Tuesday, August 12 2008.

Wilson Santiago Rojas was shot and did not make it to the hospital but died on the way there.

Wilson Santiago Rojas is survived by his wife and 5 kids. The youngest kid is a newborn baby. Wilson Santiago Rojas won a bronze medal in 2002 Pan American Games in El Salvador. He was registered to compete in the coming Central American and Caribbean Games.

The assailant got away and no one was arrested for the crime at press time.
