William “Bill” Shaw, 71, has died. William Shaw was a famous African American member of a political family. William Shaw was the first black Mayor of south Dolton.

Shaw started his political career in 1982. Shaw became the Mayor of Dolton in 1997. William Shaw died on Wed., Nov26. Shaw died after a 4 year fight with colon cancer.
