The dead were identified as lawyer William Parente, 59, his wife, Betty Parente, 58, and the children, Stephanie Parente, 19, a sophomore at Loyola College, and her sister, Catherine Parente, 11. Baltimore County police did not know the motive for the deaths. Police were searching for suicide note. Police said a family member may have been responsible for the deaths.
William Parente, Betty Parente took their younger daughter Catherine Parente to visit their elder daughter Stephanie at Loyola College and were staying at the hotel.
William Parente had his own law practice in Manhattan. Parente specialized in estate planning.
Betty Parente was a volunteer on a few boards of charity or non-profit organizations. A fellow colleague who had worked with Betty Parente was shocked to learn the news of the family’s deaths.
The Parente family’s neighbors on Long Island were shocked by the deaths. The Parente family was described as being a good family.

Four people died in a hotel room in the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel in Towson, just north of Baltimore, Maryland. Police have not released names or details. The Hotel staff opened the room when the registered guest was supposed to check out but did not on Monday, April 20.
The dead people were found in a room on the 10th floor of the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel. Police has not said if all four were guests or related or their cause of death.
