William “Wild Bill” Cutolo was an alleged organized crime gangster who disappeared 10 years ago. Cutolo was 49 when he went missing in 1999. William Cutolo was missing after a struggle for control of the Colombo crime family. An informant tipped the police on the location of his grave. Law enforcement officers found the decomposed body in Long Island. Two other men were said to be buried at the site. They were Carmine Gargano Jr., 21, and Richard Greaves. However, these two men have not been confirmed as found or identified by the authorities.

In 2007, two men were convicted for planning William Cutolo’s murder. Alphonso “Allie Boy” Persico and John “Jackie” DeRoss were the two men who were convicted. The lawyers said they will ask for a new trial as Cutolo’s remains have been located.
