William Ronald Carter allegedly murdered his wife and son and succeeded in wounding another son. Carter then committed suicide. Carter shot Bonnie Carter, 56, and son William Ronald Carter Jr, 29. Police arrived to find Carter’s home burning in the early hour of Sunday, June 28.

Timothy Carter, 22, escaped being killed by his father. Carter told police his father asked him to go down to the basement where he shot him. Carter said that as he tried to escape back upstairs, his father shot him a second time.

Timothy Carter called police who arrived to find the home burning. Police are investigating the apparent murder-suicide and arson.
