May 10 2009 – Who won Celebrity Apprentice 2009? In an explosive finale, Joan Rivers and Annie Duke competed head to head to become Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. Joan Rivers raised $250,000 for her chosen charity, “God’s Love We Deliver”. This charity made home deliveries of meals to those too ill to get meals themselves.

Annie Duke raised $465,725 for Refugees International, which supports medical and educational aid to displaced people. Trump said he liked Joan Rivers for being a role model and he chose her to become his Celebrity Apprentice for this season.

Joan Rivers and Annie Duke exchanged harsh words but when the curtain finally fell, Rivers showed that she had forgiven her arch rival for the fierce competition. Rivers hugged Duke during the last few seconds of taped footage.

Melissa Rivers, Joan Rivers’ daughter, was deeply disappointed when she was fired from Celebrity Apprentice. Rivers gave her last standing speech on her feelings at being fired from Celebrity Apprentice. Then Ms Rivers and her mother, Joan Rivers, left the set.
