Weusi McGowan was sentenced to 31 years in prison. McGowan was convicted of charges on home invasion and robbery. McGowan had attacked a man with rock when he asked for drugs and money from his victim.

McGowan had a second trial when his first trial was declared a mistrial. What happened? What did McGowan do? In January 2009, McGowan was in court when he smeared feces on his defense lawyer and threw the remainder of his waste at a juror. The feces hit the juror’s briefcase.

McGowan had hidden his plastic bag of feces in his underwear when he went to toilet during his lunch break.

The judge declared a mistrial and ordered a new defense lawyer fro McGowan. The judge ordered McGowan to pay $129 to compensate the juror for his soiled and damaged briefcase.
