Daiquan Jones, 16, killed in the Westfield Southcenter Mall Sat., Nov. 22, had just been released from the state’s juvenile detention center. Daiquan Jones, a reformed juvenile from Green Hill in Chehalis, told his teacher he wanted to help other young people in trouble.

On Sat., Daiquan Jones and another teen, Jermaine McGowan, 15, were shot at and Daiquan Jones died. Police said all three involved had flashed gang signs and engaged in antagonizing behaviour. The suspected gunman was thought to be a black male in hs teens or early 20s.Police are investigating.
