Wendy Williams: WBLS Wendy Williams suspended

By Clarencia Cynrae on April 28th, 2009

Wendy Williams, a radio host at WBLS in New York, was suspended. This news came out during the week of April 25. Williams achieved the highest ratings for being the Top Urban radio personality.

Suddenly, word spread that Williams had been suspended for a week. MediaTakeOut reported this and they thought the reason was because Williams beat everyone in the ratings.

The latest update said Wendy Williams was suspended due to the investigation that was reported on earlier. Wendy Williams and her husband have been accused by their former agent, Nicole Spence, of harassment. Nicole Spence accused Ms Williams of harassment and retaliation since she complained of unwanted sexual advances working under Ms Williams.

Wendy Williams’ co-host on her radio show, Charlamagne, has been assigned to a new job in Philadelphia. WBLS may give Williams a new show with a new concept when they allow her to return. There was no word on when Williams will return to broadcasting but all her fans are rooting for her.
