Wanda Sykes’ wife, Alex, gave birth to twins. Skyes and her wife Alex are proud parents of Olivia Lou and son Lucas Claude. Olivia Lou was 19 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Lucas Claude was 20 inches long and weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces. Wanda Sykes’ wife delivered her twins on April 27 2009.

Wanda Sykes was formerly married to David Hall from 1991 – 1998. Sykes met Alex in 2006 and married her on Oct 25, 2008.

Wanda Sykes, a comedian, said that the yes to Prop-8 has made her open up more to her gay sexuality. Wanda Sykes said that she had not spoken publicly about her sex orientation before Prop-8. After Prop-8 passed, Sykes felt she was being attacked and she wanted to get into the public view to say she was proud to be a gay woman. Wanda Sykes made her speech at a gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Sat., Nov. 15. Wanda Sykes happened to be in Las Vegas to perform her comic act at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Wanda Sykes revealed she was married on October 25, 2008. This was before Prop-8 was passed in California.
