By Clarencia Cynrae on June 18th, 2009Updated July 17 – Walter Cronkite, 92, has died. Walter Cronkite worked in CBS from 1962 to 1981. Water Cronkite’s sign off date was around March 7, 1981. Cronkite’s signature signing off phrase was “And that’s the way it is”.
Walter Cronkite had cerebrovascular disease and did not recuperate. Cronkite passed away at home on July 17, in NY.

June 18 2009 – Walter Cronkite: Walter Cronkite very ill Walter Cronkite, a former TV personality, is 92 and ill. Cronkite had ill health for a long time but this time, its serious.
Cronkite’s girlfriend is Joanna Simon, the sister of singer Carly Simon. Joanna Simon is an opera singer. Cronkite’s wife, Betsy Cronkite, had died in 2005. Betsy Cronkite had cancer and died of the disease. Walter Cronkite’s assistant, Cynthia Dicrocco, denied the rumors about him. Dicrocco said Cronkite was dealing with elderly age issues typical of a 92 year old man.

1. If Joanna Simon is an Opera singer then why is she out selling real estate?
2. She was not with Walter Cronkite when he died.
3. She was not with the family at the funeral.
4. I think that Joanna who went public on the cover of the Daily News the day after she broke her heart loosing her lover exaggerated her relationship with Walter Cronkite.
