Spc. Vonda Collier, of San Antonio, was arrested at MacArthur airport on Sunday, Oct. 19. Collier was arrested after TSA security screeners found a loaded hand gun in her checked in luggage. Vonda Collier was on bereavement leave from her present deployment in Iraq.

Collier lacked a license to carry the Taurus gun. Collier, 38, was arrested before she could board her flight back home to San Antonio. Collier was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon and not having a license. Collier was detained overnight in police station. On Monday morning, Collier will attend her arraignment in court.
