Virginia Tech had a scare when two people reported they heard a sound like gun fire on campus on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 13. Police and all authorities issued a campus lockdown on a specific area while they investigated. Viginia Tech campus spokesman said that the loud sound could have originated from a construction site nearby. Virginia Tech was searched, especially in Pritchard Hall. Pritchard is a dorm on the Blacksburg campus. Police are taking this seriously as in 2007, 32 people were gunned down by a shooter in Virginia Tech, who later committed suicide.

Right now, police have determined there was no gunfire in the Virginia Tech dorm.
