Vilasrao Deshmukh is the Chief Minister (CM) of Maharashtra, the government of Mumbai. Vilasrao Deshmukh visited the Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai after it was cleared by NSG. Vilasrao Deshmukh went to the battle ground of terrorism with Ram Gopal Verma, a famous film director. Ritesh Deshmukh, the actor son of the CM, Vilasrao Deshmukh was also present during this “Terrorism Disaster” tour of the carnage.

Vilasrao Deshmukh was rumoured to be showing Ram Gopal Verma the real site for his insight to make a movie based on the Mumbai attacks. The fact that the actor, Ritesh Deshmukh, was his son and touring along with Verma made it look bad. Ram Gopal Verma has denied that he had intentions of making a movie based on the terrorism attacks in Mumbai.

India’s opposition party alleged that Ram Gopal Verma may be desiring to make a movie and the Chief Minister’s son was going to act in the movie. In addition, there were claims that Vilasrao Deshmukh was insensitive to the plight of the victims. Vilasrao Deshmukh denied the allegations and said it was a coincidence that the director was present at the Taj Mahal Hotel on the same day and time he was making the surveillance tour.
