Vicki Iseman, a Washington Lobbyist, has sued New York Times for publication of a story that said Iseman had a romantic relationship with John McCain. Iseman is asking $27 million in damages.

Iseman, a lobbyist at Alcalde & Fay, claimed she was defamed by NYT’s article on Feb. 21. Iseman claimed her reputation, emotional state and health suffered consequently.

Iseman fingered her defendants as NYT company, its editor Bill Keller, Washington Bureau Chief Dean Baquet, and reporters James Rutenberg, Marilyn Thompson, Stephen Labaton and David Kirkpatrick.

Vicki Iseman and John McCain have both vigorously denied having any improper relationship.
