Ranae Shrider and the website TMZ seemed to have collaborated. After the hue and cry over the Verne Troyer Sex Tape, TMZ confessed that Ranae Shrider was the one who had authorized TMZ to play the section of the sex tape. It was also revealed that Ranae Shrider was actively looking for an interested buyer for the sex tape.

Ranae Shrider said that because of Verne Troyer’s height, she could not do a lot of things normal couples did. Ranae Shrider felt more like a care giver than a girlfriend. Slowly, they broke up.
Ranae Shrider and Verne Troyer continued living in the same apartment after their romance faded. Thye used separate rooms. Rane Shrider claimed that she still cared for Verne Troyer. However, she claimed that Verne cared more for himself.
After Ranae Shrider shopped their sex tape for a buyer, it was not known if she was still staying with Verne Troyer.

Verne Troyer has filed a lawsuit asking for damages worth $20 million. Verne Troyer said TMZ violated his rights. TMZ had published the Verne Troyer sex tape online. TMZ had aired portions of the Verne Troyer sex tape without permission.
US District Court in LA received the lawsuit that was filed.
Verne Troyer claimed TMZ violated his privacy rights and infringed on his trademark & copyright by showing portions of the Verne Troyer sex tape on www.tmz.com and TMZ TV. Verne Troyer claimed that TMZ violated his publicity rights and misappropriated the name of Verne Troyer and his likeness.
Verne Troyer claimed that the sex tape was stolen. Verne Troyer has named Kevin Blatt as a defendant. Kevin Blatt is the distributor os “One Night in Paris.”
Verne Troyer asks for an injunction to ban further dissemination of the Verne Troyer sex tape.
The website, TMZ, seemed not to take this lawsuit seriously in the way they have published this expression : “Calls to TMZ were not returned.”
