Verne Gagne, 82, a famous former wrestler, has been implicated in the death of his roommate. Gagne stays in a nursing home in Minnesota. Gagne’s roommate, Helmut R Gutmann lived with him in Friendship Village, a Bloomington living facility. Both Gagne and Gutmann have Alzheimer’s-related dementia.

Gutmann, 97, and Gagne had a fight on Jan 26. Gutmann had a broken leg and head injury. Gutmann was hospitalized, released, and re-admitted into hospital due to complications. Four days ago in February, Gutmann passed away. Gutmann was a former cancer research scientist. Gutmann retired in his 80s. He also played violin in the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra for 12 years.
