Updated June 18 2009 – Usher said he had been separated from Tameka Foster for a year, since July 2008. Usher seeks joint custody of their kids. Usher said his marriage was irretrievably broken.

Tameka Foster will contest the divorce. Foster and Usher will be in court July 15.

A source at In Touch Weekly said Usher has filed for divorce in Atlanta. Usher was rumored to have been separated from his wife, Tameka Foster, for 1 year. Usher allegedly was unaware Foster flew to Brazil for plastic surgery.

Tameka Foster has refused to respond to rumors about her marriage. However, she responded to a Twitter blogger about the product manager who was seen with Usher. Foster called her ugly and unable to get a man.

Jonetta Patton, Usher’s mother, has been rehired to help manage Usher’s career.

Usher’s wife, Tameka Foster- Raymond, is rumored to be seriously ill in Brazil. Foster- Raymond was in Brazil allegedly for plastic surgery. The rumors said Foster- Raymond suffered serious complications. Usher canceled his pre Grammy Award performances to fly out to Brazil.

A neurosurgeon is supposedly on his way to Brazil to help Foster Raymond. A gossip website said Foster Raymond may have had a tummy tuck plastic surgery.

Other rumors said Tameka Foster Raymond has died due to her illness. These rumors were denied.

Tameka Foster Raymond’s health and medical condition has been stabilized. Foster Raymond is going to recover. A representative for Usher Raymond released the statement. No details will be diverged. Usher is with Tameka at the hospital in Brazil. (Update)
