A bloody fight broke out at the 6th Annual Urban Music Awards at the O2 Arena in London’s docklands. Pictures here. Urban Music Awards were held in the indigO2 – a 2,350 capacity venue inside The O2 Arena. A man, 27, has been hospitalized in critical condition. One person received treatment at a hospital. Police arrested a man, 21.

Eyewitnesses saw a big fight broke out at around 10 pm. Alcohol bottles and chairs were scattered. Guns were seen. There was confusion and hysteria. Police issued a lockdown on O2 and around 300 guests had to remain inside the venue. They were only released after questioning. One guest blamed the brawl due to the light or almost absent security. One witness estimated 25 – 30 people involved in the fight. The O2 spokesman denied the problem was with the security. He said nothing of this sort had happened before. O2 organizers will work with the police in the investigation.

Leona Lewis, Estelle, Dizzee Rascal and Duffy were among those nominated for awards. Estelle, 28, was nominated for 5 awards. Mica Paris, a TV presenter, won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Richard Blackwell was a presenter at the O2 awards.
