Updated Oct 13 – Tyra Banks was accused of being fat in 2007. Tyra Banks, in her swimsuit, looked a bit heavy. Banks’ one piece swimsuit showed her fuller figure. After the name calling of “Tyra Banks fat” came out, Banks launched her own press campaign to fight back against the fat label.

Tyra Banks told Larry King that she has lost some of her fat weight. Banks created a group of people to challenge themselves to lose weight. Recently, Banks had appeared on TV in September to show her natural hair without extensions and wigs. In rapid succession within this same year, Banks has brought up her weight to show how she is changing her image.

Banks has lost 30 pounds since her “fat” swimsuit picture days in 2007. Banks seemed to have gone back on her words that she liked having her weight around and spoofing at her critics.

Banks shows her real hair on the day she calls the “National Real Hair Day”. Banks wants to encourage women to be proud of their natural assets. Throw the real hair to the wind and show the inner beauty. The beauty of the mind and soul can attract much more than the superficial beauty of fake hair.

Tyra Banks plasters her wet hair close to her head and invites her audience in the studio to come up and feel her hair. The question is, will Banks go natural from now on or will she continue using wigs and hair extensions for the rest of her season?
