Troy Dale West assaulted Tasha Hill just outside a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Morrow, Georgia. West, a white man, took offence when Hill, an African-American army reservist, told him to be careful of Cracker Barrel’s swinging door hitting her 7 year old daughter.

What did Tasha Hill say? Ms Hill said: ‘Excuse me sir, you need to watch yourself you almost hit my daughter in the face.’

West yelled out some racial slurs at Hill. West knocked Hill down and assaulted her head with his fists and feet. West was cruel to Hill’s daughter by beating the mother up in front of her.

West was arrested and charged with battery, disorderly conduct and cruelty to children. West will be in court for his preliminary hearing on Sep 28.
