Miss Vietnam 2008, Tran Thi Thuy Dung, has been disqualified from participating in Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Tran Thi Thuy Dung was crowned on August 31. However, the beauty pageant officials have just discovered Tran Thi Thuy Dung lacks the basic high school qualifications necessary to compete in Miss Vietnam.

Thien Ly (L) and Hoang Yen (R) are two potential candidates who may be chosen to step into the shoes of Miss Vietnam 2008.
