Tony Romo & Doc the Homeless Guy: Tony Romo & Homeless
By Therese Lisieux on November 21st, 2008Tony Romo met a homeless man named Doc outside a Cinemark theatre in Dallas. Doc, the homeless guy, was handing out fliers, as a part time job. Tony Romo approached Doc, the homeless guy, and offered to buy him a ticket into the movie, “Role Model”. Doc thought that the good Samaritan looked familiar so he asked the ticket counter person if Tony Romo just bought him a ticket.
Tony Romo waved Doc over to sit with him and his friend. Doc was hesitant as he told Romo he had not showered for a few days. Romo said he was used to locker rooms. Doc was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to him. The homeless guy said Romo’s gestures gave him faith and encouragement in mankind. Doc, the homeless guy, wants to say his thanks to Tony Romo. When he was approached to comment on this story, Tony Romo confirmed it happened but refused to elaborate.
