Tony Franklin: Tommy Tuberville fired Tony Franklin

Tony Franklin has been fired by Tommy Tuberville, Auburn’s coach. Tony Franklin has been 7 games into his tenure. Tuberville explained he was dissatisfied with the offense wanted to have a change. Tony Franklin, the offensive coordinator in football, made a spread offense to the Tigers (4-2) but it was not the more smashmouth style Tuberville liked.

Auburn is ranked 104th in total offense. Kodi Burns and Chris Todd have alternated and competing for the starter job. Prior to Tony Franklin, Al Borges had the job. Tony Franklin was hired from Troy.
