Toni Layton, the former lesbian companion of Martina Navratilova, threatened to air their dirty linen in public if the tennis star did not compensate her sufficiently.

Toni Layton stayed with Navratilova for 8 years and had left her husband Jeffrey Lambert for the tennis player. Layton claimed she nurtured Navratilova during their relationship. Layton was dissatisfied with the $200,000 settlement Navratilova offered her.

In 1991, Navratilova split with Judy Nelson, her lesbian girlfriend of 8 years. Navratilova paid Nelson a private settlement which was rumored to be around $3.5 million. Judy Nelson wrote two books to detail her relationship with Navratilova.

Toni Layton claimed she was locked out of Navratilova’s house in Florida with nothing save for her clothes on her back. Layton said Navratilova had canceled her credit cards and cut her off completely. Layton said she returned Navratilova’s “wedding ring” and her former lover did the same.

Navratilova has mentioned recently she has a new girlfriend but omitted mentioning her name.
