Tom Pfaeffle, a sound engineer from Black Diamond, was killed on Friday, July 17. Pfaeffle, 49, was shot on Friday night. Pfaeffle died from his gunshot wounds on Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Pfaeffle’s shooter, a 57 year old suspect, was caught and charged with second degree assault. Pfaeffle was shot in a motel in Twisp. Police do not know the motive in the shooting death of Pfaeffle but speculated he might have been shot when he tried to enter the wrong room in the motel.

Pfaeffle, owned a recording studio that he named The Tank. The Tank was set in the woods of Black Diamond.
