What happened to Tom Gallego’s face? Tom Gallego, from Poundbury, Dorset, UK, had mouth cancer, when he was 38 years old. Gallego, a financial adviser, lost 10 teeth and the lower jaw after surgeons operated on him.

The doctors reconstructed Gallego’s face using parts of his body from his rib, leg arteries, and wrists’ skin. Now, after 8 years and 16 operations, Gallego is finally made whole again.

By this time, Gallego has become a father of three children. He started having his firstborn when his mouth cancer was first discovered.
