Updated August 19 – Cheryl Burke, one of the professional dancers in DWTS, has been partnered with Tom DeLay, the ex senator. Burke admitted she had been rehearsing with DeLay in his native state of Texas. Burke and DeLay’s partnership on the dance show has not been officially confirmed by the producers, ABC, but Burke has written about it on her Facebook account.

Tom DeLay, the ex Texas Congressman, is ready to return to the limelight. DeLay wants to discover if he still has fans after his 2005 indictment for money laundering. Is it time to forgive DeLay?

Evidently, the producers of Dancing with the Stars think so. Rod Blagojevich was ready to wear his dancing shoes but the show’s bosses didn’t think it was time for him to earn a slot in the new season nine DWTS 2009.

Tom DeLay’s daughter, Dani DeLay Ferro said her Dad worked hard all summer to get into shape. Ms Ferro said her father s a good dancer, albeit a closet dancer who has to make his debut. The faithful Ferro urged everyone to support him.

Tom DeLay, whose nickname in the Republican House was The Hammer, is scheduled to start rehearsals in Texas and move to LA to be on the set of DWTS season 9. DWTS 2009 begins on September 21 and ends in November 2009.
