Tom Conway was a successful actor who was done in by drink. Conway worked long and hard in his career that spanned 24 years. Alcohol destroyed his relationships as he was divorced twice and estranged from his brother, also an actor. George Sanders allegedly distanced himself from Tom Conway because of his addiction to drink.

Conway acted in the second half of the series called The Falcon. Conway’s brother, George Sanders, had given up playing the role and he was cast in the same role to continue the series.

Tom Conway died on April 22, 1967. The cause of death was reported to be from cirrhosis of the liver. Conway was 62.
