Tom Cable & Randy Hanson: Cable & Hanson alleged assault
By Clarencia Cynrae on August 17th, 2009Tom Cable, the Raiders’ coach, allegedly punched his assistant coach Randy Hanson. Hanson was hurt enough in the early August assault that he sought treatment in hospital. The Raiders’ senior executive said that the matter was an internal one.
Both Cable and Hanson have not gone public with the incident. Hanson refused to cooperate with police as he declined to name the person who punched him.
Hanson is no stranger to controversy. Hanson was suspended by his former coach, Lane Kiffin, for one game last season. Hanson criticized Kiffin for what he claimed was insufficient preparation against the Denver Broncos.
