Todd Bostian, 32, kidnapped his former girlfriend, Kacey Myers, and killed her. Bostian was hiding in the home of Mike Keck and Rhonda Keck when police closed in on him in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Mike Keck later told police he knew Bostian as a familiar face at the race track and was not connected to him in any other way.

Police started negotiations with Bostian but failed to reach an agreement. Bostian decided to escape from the standoff. Bostian emerged from the house using Mike Keck and Rhonda Keck as human shields. Bostian escaped to the boat dock near the Kecks’ home and hid partially in the water. A sniper took him out.

Rhonda Keck had a gunshot wound and is recovering in hospital.
