Thomas James “TJ” Turner, 46, a former footballer, died on Monday, August 24. Turner was known as TJ Turner and also as Thomas James Turner. Turner’s cause of death was complications from a stroke he had last week.

Thomas James Turner was 6 feet 4 inches and his family and friends gave him the nickname, “Gentle Giant”. A short biography, tribute and photo of TJ Turner was posted here.

The funeral service for Turner will be on Sat, August 29, at the First Missionary Baptist Church, in Lufkin.
