Tina Griekspoor and her mother, Evelyn Border, were caught stealing and using a nine year old girl’s gift cards. Griekspoor and Border agreed to plead guilty to theft and do public punishment in a plea deal.

Griekspoor and Border stood outside a courthouse in Bedford, Pennsylvania holding signs that read, “I Stole from a 9 year old girl on her birthday! Don’t steal or this could happen to you!”

Marissa Holland, 9, had left her gift cards on a shelf while she was speaking to a worker at Wal-mart. Griekspoor and Border quickly swiped the gift cards and used them to pay for their own expenses.
