Timothy Dale Johnson, the suspect in the murder of Bill Gwatney, was shot dead by authorities after a high-speed chase into Grant County. Timothy Dale Johnson entered Democratic Party headquarters on West Capitol Avenue.

Timothy Dale Johnson was denied entry to Bill Gwatney’s office but Johnson barged in and fired three shots into Bill Gwatney. Police did not know Timothy Dale Johnson’s motive.
