Tim Montgomery: Montgomery sentenced on drug charges

Tim Montgomery, ex Olympic sprinter, was sentenced to 5 years of jail. A district court judge sentenced Tim Montgomery to prison for heroin charges. Montgomery pleaded guilty on July 3. Montgomery had an agreement with government officials to plead guilty. On Friday, Montgomery heard his sentencing from Judge Jerome B. Friedman, in Virginia.

Tim Montgomery was a ex gold Olympic medalist as part of the 400 meter relay team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Montgomery was found with drugs and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute. Tim Montgomery has another prison sentence to serve. It is a 4 year jail sentence for check fraud in New York.
