Terry Mahoney, Tim Mahoney’s wife, has filed for divorce one week after he admitted to an affair with a staffer. Terry Mahoney, Tim Mahoney’s estranged wife, filed her divorce papers in Palm Beach Gardens on Mon., Oct 20.

Terry Mahoney filed for divorce after Tim Mahoney admitted to have committed to at least two affairs in the past. Mahoney said he had multiple affairs but was forced to admit to two that had received some exposure. Tim Mahoney’s Democrat campaign office had no comment to the latest development about Terry Mahoney filing for divorce.

Tim Mahoney is being investigated for allegations regarding any improper behavior when he hired a mistress to work on his staff. Mahoney allegedly had a relationship with a woman connected to Martin County. Mahoney is investigated on whether he gave Martin County any special treatment when he lobbied the Federal Emergency management Agency to reimburse the county government for hurricane clean-up. Mahoney faces a very tough battle for office and the publicity of these scandals may complicate matters.
