Tiffany Toribio was homeless and desperate when she strangled her son Tyruss Toribio, 3. Ms Toribio buried Ty’s body under a swing set in the playground. Toribio allegedly strangled Tyree with her bare hands on May 15.

When Tyruss Toribio’s body was found in the playground in Albuquerque, New Mexico, police did not know his identity and nicknamed him “Baby Justice”.

Friends of Tiffany Toribio saw her without her son and had suspicions. They tipped off police and she was arrested. Tiffany Toribio confessed to police she strangled Tyrus. Ms Torbio claimed she had a change of heart when she first tried to suffocate Toribio. When she failed to revive him, she again changed her mind and decided to make a clean kill and finish her macabre work thoroughly.

There are differing reports on the spellings of the names and nicknames. Tyruss Toribio was nicknamed Ty and not Tyree. Tyruss was also nicknamed by law enforcement people before he was identified. Some reports referred him as “Baby Justice”. One latest report written after his mother was charged suggested his nickname was “Baby Angel”.
