Thunder Collins: Thunder Collins convicted for murder (photo)
By Clarencia Cynrae on September 25th, 2008Updated August 24 2009 – Thunder Collins has been convicted of first degree murder. Prosecution said Collins’ motive was a botched drug deal. Collins will be sentenced on November 12. The sentence for first degree murder is life in prison. Collins may have to face an extra 170 years for other charges.
Timothy Thomas, 38, was shot dead and Marshall Turner, was seriously wounded after the incident. Both Thomas and Turner were from California.
After the conviction, Thunder Collins shouted to the jury that he was innocent.

Thunder Collins, ex Nebraska running back, was arrested on Wed., September 24. Thunder Collins was suspected to be involved in the fatal shooting of one person and injuring of another. Thunder Collins was taken into police custody but not booked into jail yet.
Thunder Collins:
Thunder Collins has an arrest warrant accusing him of first degree murder, attempted second degree murder. In addition, Collins had two felony weapons charges. Thunder Collins was allegedly involved in killing Timothy Thomas and seriously wounding Marshall Turner.
Another man, Karnell Burton, was arrested for criminal homicide, attempted first degree murder and weapons charges.
Thunder Collins played for Cornhuskers from 2000 to 2002. Collins was suspended for four games after he violated NCAA rules. However, the exact nature of the rules and violations were undisclosed. Thunder Collins, 29, had a series of confrontations with police in the past.
