Thomas Lessman: Thomas Lessman, 507 pounds man died
By Clarencia Cynrae on November 4th, 2009Thomas Lessman, of Germany, weighed 507 pounds, or 230 kg. Lessman was too heavy for an X-ray at the local clinic. They told Lessman to go to the zoo for an X-ray. Lessman refused.
Thomas Lessman felt offended by the suggestion. Thirteen days later, Lessman died of unknown causes.
Thomas Lessman died before he could be examined for the cause of his illness. He had complained of feeling sick and losing consciousness. Lessman’s clinic in Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany, referred him to Hagenbeck Zoo to get an X-ray. They claimed their x-ray machine could only take 440 pounds or 200 kg.
