Thomas Kiefer Jr. was arrested for shining a laser beam at a Palm Beach County Sheriff helicopter which flew above his home at night. The laser beam could blind a pilot and cause a crash.

Thomas Kiefer said he was ignorant that it was against the law to shine a laser beam at a helicopter. Kiefer denied doing it intentionally. He was released on a bond.
