The Incredible Hulk 2008 reviews spoilers

I watched it today!

The Incredible Hulk reveals his green blood under the microscope. The Green Hulk got his color from the green blood.

The Incredible Hulk is here again. At least, in this The Incredible Hulk remake, there is a new monster to fight with! The gamma radiation created a new Hulk imposter-like monster without a heart. The last The Incredible Hulk movie I saw had Dr. Bruce Banner’s very own father fighting against him for the status and power.

The Incredible Hulk 2008.

The Incredible Hulk remake has Liv Tyler. She’s hot now. Liv Tyler was getting divorced from Royston Langdon but she might retrace that step. The gossips reported that Liv Tyler spoke heart to heart with her BFF, Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth Paltrow, herself married to Chris Martin, apparently influenced Liv Tyler to reconsider. Liv and Royston have a son named Milo. Milo needs both parents. So Liv Tyler might give her marriage another shot.

Liv Tyler has another movie, The Strangers, which has courted controversy. It was supposed to be a movie loosely based on a real life double murder story that happened in Arkansas, in February 11, 2005.

Liv Tyler played Kristen McKay, one half of a couple who stayed at a remote resort. They were discovered murdered. The supposedly real life couple, Kristen McKay and her boyfriend, James Hoyt, had returned to the lovey-dovey cabin. Only that it was not that lovey-dovey. James Hoyt proposed to Kristen McKay but she rejected him. Then, the couple was visited by some strangers. Thus, the movie was entitled The Strangers.

What happened after that was a mystery. The next day, the couple was discovered to be horribly murdered. There were signs of a horrible twin murder. It was not a case of clean murders but the victims were dragged in an elaborate play of probable psychotic trauma before being killed. This made the case fascinationg to a nation traumatized and transfiixed by the sheer ingenuity of an original-like crime.

The spoilers are coming soon.

The Incredible Hulk was a contest between the original green The Incredible Hulk and the new The Abomination. The Abomination was stronger, faster, more evil and rotten to the core. In the end, The Incredible Hulk won after lots of smashing fighting scenes.

The Incredible Hulk won with human-like intelligence, love for his lady beauty and his sense of duty to fight until the end.

Dr. Bruce Banner was in a hidey hole in Brazil. He was searching for an exotic flower. The herb and natural components supposedly could cure his gamma radiation. He had help from a cell biologist, Dr. Howard Stern from his former University, The University of Culver.

They communicate via encrypted messages. Dr. Bruce Banner is Mr. Green. He is the green Incredible Hulk so he took the code name of Mr. Green. That was his code name. Dr. H. Stern was Mr. Blue. After Mr. Green tried the so called antidote for gamma radiation, he pricked his finger and tested his Incredible Hulk blood. For a few seconds, his Incredible Hulk green colored blood turned red. Then the green pigment took over again and his blood cells returned to being green.

Bruce Banner worked as a handyman at a Brazilian bottling factory. The plant bottled a yellow colored drink. That was how he earned his keep while doing research for a cure. Bruce Banner learnt Portuguese the self taught way. Bruce Banner watched TV and Sesame Street.

Dr Bruce Banner learnt anger control management techniques from a local martial arts master. He learnt breathing control techniques to lower the heart beat and blood pressure. These were used to reduce the anger and his explosions. When he became angry, he would transform into the Incredible Hulk.

One day, an accident happened at the bottling factory. Bruce Banner was asked to repair a short wire and he was accidentally hurt by a spark of current. A drop of his gamma radiatedblood dripped into a bottle. Bruce Banner tried to wipe it off but he missed a spot on a bottle. The bottle was filled with drink and the infected bottle eventually reached an elderly American man’s home. He fell ill from gamma radiation. The General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross got wind of this and sent a small army to try to capture Dr Banner.

Dr. Bruce Banner escaped in the nick of time. The escape was elaborate and a battle. From there onwards, I had the feeling that the whole movie would be largely based on escaping from General Ross.

Dr. Banner lost everything when he was cornered and he transformed into the Incredible Hulk. He escaped with his life and begged on the streets. His clothes were in tatters because the Incredible Hulk tore them with his immense size. When he had sufficient money, he bought clothes. He hitched rides and got into US from a South American border town.

Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk went to see his girlfriend, Betty Ross. He was disappointed to witness her meeting a new guy. Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk then visited his old friend, an elderly restaurant owner. The kind man offered a spare room for Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk.

By a chance, Betty Ross came by and Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk accidentally showed his face through the kitchen door. Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk ran away through the back door. Betty Ross drove down the street in the night and eventually found Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk walking in the rain, trying to do hitch hiking.

Betty Ross begged Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk to follow her home. She gave him room and board. The next morning, they were going to the bus station ofr his bus ride when Betty Ross’ dad, the General Ross, came to capture Bruce Banner.

The whole movie is about Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk trying to evade capture by the General.

The Incredible Hulk had a great showdown with the Abomination, who was actually Emil Blonsky, a soldier. The Hulk won but he did not kill The Abomination. This paves the way for sequels later on.

The Abomination was created when General Ross allowed the infusion of gamma radiated blood into Emil Blonsky. Emil asked for it to become a better fighter. He loved to fight and was fascinated by the sheer size and power of Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk did not get his cure. He remained prone to transformations when he became angry. After the Incredible Hulk fought The Abomination and won, he left the humans. The Hulk or the human in him wanted to find the cure. The Hulk/ Bruce Banner went to British Columbia. There, the closing scene showed him meditating and trying to control his anger.

Bruce Banner had a wristwatch that measured his blood pressure. He had another counter on the screen that measured the Days Without Incident; meaning the days he did not become angry and transform into the Hulk. The Incredible Hulk ending for Bruce Banner showed him a recluse and doing anger management meditation.

The Incredible Hulk ending for General Ross showed his a dis-illusioned man.

The closing scene hinted that there was more to come. General Ross was devastated by the defeat of his plans to use the gamma radiated men to build a superior army. Tony Stark, the character from The Iron Man vsisited General Ross in the bar. General Ross was depressed and Tony Stark offered his services to General Ross.

This might mean that Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk could be combined in a sequel.

It was a great movie. It had good family entertainment without excessive violence.

The Cast of The Incredible Hulk:

Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, William Hurt as her father General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Tim Roth as the villainous Emil Blonsky, known in the comics as the Abomination.
