Update May 20 2009 – Janice Thibodeaux was arrested for attacking Terri Seymour after the American Idol show ended at the studio. Janice Thibodeaux choked Ms Seymour on May 19, outside the Nokia Theater. Thibodeaux asked Seymour if she was still dating Simon Cowell. Thibodeaux then choked Seymour.

There were different reports which said Thibodeaux asked Seymour if she was Cowell’s ex girlfriend. Thibodeaux was upset with Seymour for being Cowell’s ex or present friend.

Seymour declined medical attention. Police escorted her out of the studios.

Thibodeaux was arrested on felony battery charges. Thibodeaux currently sits in jail pending bail of $52,700.

Terri Seymour & Simon Cowell: Seymour & Cowell split

Terri Seymour, the long-time girlfriend of Simon Cowell, is confirmed to have broken up with him. Terri Seymour and Simon Cowell were rumoured to have split in September.

Cowell’s publicist has just confirmed to People magazine that Terri Seymour telephoned Cowell to inform him of her decision to quit their relationship. Cowell’s publicist said that Cowell and Seymour will remain close friends. The statement said that Simon Cowell understood Terri Seymour’s decision for ending their relationship.

On Oct 27, Simon Cowell’s brother, Tony Cowell, gave an interview to promote his book, “The Secret Diary of Simon Cowell.”

Tony Cowell claimed Simon and Terri Seymour had learnt to compromise over his reluctance to have children. Tony Cowell said that Terri Seymour desired to have children and send more time with Simon but he had different goals. Tony Cowell claimed his brother Simon loved his work more than having children. Tony Cowell gave his interview to UK’s Star magazine. Tony Cowell evidently did not know about Terri Seymour and his brother Simon splitting up.
