Sarah Van Cleemput committed suicide in 2002. Sarah Van Cleemput’s suicide note said to ask Dick what happened. Dick was the short name for Richard Hayes Stone. Richard Hayes Stone had molested Sarah Van Cleemput.

Richard Hayes Stone was Teri Hatcher’s former uncle when he was married to Teri’s mother’s sister. Richard Hayes Stone was convicted and sentenced to 14 years in prison. Richard Hayes Stone passed away on Tuesday, August 19, of colon cancer.

Teri Hatcher read about Sarah Van Cleemput and knew what her suicide note was all about. Hatcher had been molested too when she was a child. Hatcher approached prosecutors for the case and gave her evidence. Hatcher’s testimony helped to convict and sentence Dick/ Richard Hayes Stone. Dick/ Richard Stone pleaded guilty Oct. 24, 2002, after his defense told him about Hatcher’s evidence. There was no trial nor a court appearance for Hatcher.
